Through generous funding from the Honjo Foundation, JAA is looking for qualified candidates for its 2010 JAA - HONJO Scholarship. This is open to students who will be enrolled in a full time course of graduate study (except music, studio art and performing arts) at an accredited U.S. University in the New York area in academic year 2010 - 2011. Student should be able to demonstrate an interest in and if currently involved in furthering U.S. - Japan relations. Applications deadline is March 1, 2010.

"The New Rookie Photographer" by Asahi Camera Magazine in 1963. In 1964, he settled in New York after he worked for Life Magazine during the Tokyo Olympics. He also worked for many magazines like Mainichi Newspaper, Brazilian magazine "Machete".and others. His camera captured the Civil Rights & Anti-Viet Nam Movements and Hippie Counter-Culture of Woodstock in addition to other events.

JAA -HONJO SCHOLARSHIP Announcement
Through generous funding from the Honjo Foundation, JAA is looking for qualified candidates for its 2009 JAA - HONJO Scholarship. This is open to students who will be enrolled in a full time course of graduate study (except music, studio art and performing arts) at an accredited U.S. university in the New York area in academic year 2009 - 20010. The student should be able to demonstrate an interest in and ideally is already involved in furthering U.S. - Japan relations. The deadline for applications is February 15, 2009.
