Oct. 24 (Fri.) 1pm-3pm at JAA Library "World Origami Day- Lets Do Origami at JAA"
Ms. Toshiko Kobayashi will give instructions on how to make a variety of Origami. Please come and enjoy making Origami together! Make your reservation at JAA.
Oct. 31 (Fri.) 6pm-10pm "Halloween Party for Young Persons" at JAA Hall, 15 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036
This is a first time event for the younger generation. We would like to network with our younger future JAA members. Please invite your 20-40 years old family members. Because young people often like to attend something new with a friend please encourage those you invite to bring a friend! We hope people will come in a costume - but we don't expect everyone to wear a costume - think again - there will be a prize for the most original costume and the funniest costume. Costumed or not - join us and meet new friends! A band - HappyFunSmile will play one set. (most likely from 9pm) DJ- SelectorArts will provide music all night No admission fee. Wine & refreshments will be served.
Nov. 8 (Sat.) 10am-2pm "JAA Annual Grand Bazaar"
This is a very popular JAA event and a major fund raiser for JAA. We will have many gift items for the Holiday season! As always, there will be delicious Japanese food, like Dorayaki, Chirashizushi, Inarizushi, Udon, Curry over rice, etc. The raffle drawing will be held at 1pm in the JAA Hall. The Grand Prize will be an AA round trip tickets NY/Tokyo and also, other prizes including a new handbag, DVD players, Japanese plates and more. Please come and enjoy showing support for your JAA!
Nov. 12 (Wed.) 12pm-2pm "Thank you Party for JAA Volunteers" by our President Gary Moriwaki"
Mr. Moriwaki cordially invites all volunteers who work for Keirokai, consultation, charity golf, baseball, bazaar and other JAA activities. Without volunteers' support, JAA is unable to sponsor these many activities. We would like to show our appreciation to our volunteers.

Nov. 20 (Thurs.) 12pm- "Thanksgiving Day Keirokai"
To celebrate Thanksgiving Day, French Chef Takayoshi Kato will donate all supplies to prepare a delicious Thanksgiving lunch. Lunch will be free! After lunch, Mr. K. Iwaki and his group will give a nice concert. Dr. Tsunetaka Yoshida of Consul, Medical Attache of Consulate General of Japan in NY will give a talk on "How to Prevent Flu & Cold"1pm-3pm "Free Consultation regarding Medical and Social Welfare".Please make your reservation for lunch, lunch delivery and consultation at JAA.

Nov. 27 (Thurs.) Thanksgiving Day- JAA office will be closed.
Dec. 3 (Wed.) 7pm- "Directors' Meeting and JAA General Election Meeting"
Information will be mailed in mid-November. Members should vote for officers and directors for 2009. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please send your proxy to JAA by 11/30.
Save this date: Dec. 4 (Thurs.) JAA Annual Year End Dinner at Crowne Plaza Times Square. This year Mr. Toshio Kiso who was President of JAA from 2002 to 2004 will be honored.

Long-train-costumes designed after the elaborate robes worn in the Heian court of 1000 years ago will be worn.
