From May 2 (Thurs.) to May 10 (Fri.) "The 18th JAA Art Exhibition of Japanese and Japanese American artists in New York"

will be held. 50% of proceeds will be donated to JAA Charitable fund. Please see attached flyer

Please join our annual Art Exhibition. Amb. Shigeyuki Hiroki, artists and many guests are attending. Our Social Service Committee volunteers will serve delicious refreshments.

Ms. Toshiko Kobayashi, EOAT instructor will teach you ORIGAMI "Kabuto" for boy's festival in May

May 5 (Sun) 28th JAA Baseball's Foreign Minister's Cup Begins!!

They will play at Central Park North Meadow and Randall's Fields every Sunday morning from 5/5 to Aug. Please come and cheer up them

Cellist Toshio Kono presents concert by Nuova Virtuosi and Artist Naoto Nakagawa speaks on his "1,000 Portraits of Hope Fund". Dessert and tea will be served.

10 a.m. AIDS Walk New York Begins
The Walk usually takes about 2.5 hours to complete.

Location: The Walk begins and ends in Central Park.
Entrance to General Sign-In is located at 59th Street and 5th Avenue.

Length: 10 kilometers/6.2 miles

Joint sponsors of JAA, the NY Buddhist Church and Japanese American United Church. Japanese section of Mt. Olivet Cemetery was established in 1912 and Memorial Services have been held there since then. Please call JAA for your bus reservation as soon as possible. Bus fare $15/person with bus stops at 9:30am at NY Buddhist Church, at 10am at JAA.
